Blue electric fire gets no brighter than this. Requiring no more than moonlight to be fully activated, this gem is an major head turner and has been a highlight of my shop display for the last few weeks since it was completed (early Feb 2020).
A lot of thought was put into the orientation of the setting, as the blue fire is a little directional, but the way Ive set it means that the bright colour faces directly forward when viewed face to face. The Molten Gold and diamonds have been added as a feature as well as a counter weight to keep the necklace sitting properly, and has been soldered to it 18ct gold chain. I chose this style of chain because it can easily be modified to accomodate extra jump rings in case you would like it shorter on certain occasions.
This Queensland boulder opal weighs 16.95ct, and the dimensions can be seen on the rule in the photo. It’s a perfect size to be worn daily, or just on special occasions.
