I think the name i have given this piece says it all.
.... The dusky oranges and pastel reds project me to a hill overlooking an outback plateau at sunset. It’s one of those opals that have the ability let your imagination go ‘walkabout’.
This Queensland boulder opal weighs a whopping 41.9ct, and dimensions can be seen on the photo ruler.
I chose to set this stone in the most basic setting imaginable, while adding a new level of quality with its 18ct yellow gold frame and chain. I chose this style of chain because it can easily be modified to accomodate extra jump rings in case you would like it shorter on certain occasions, but it is currently approximately 48cm.
A miracle of a piece.
